The global health group, World Health Organization (WHO), has warned again about cough syrup from Pakistan.
WHO alerts on Pakistani cough syrup
WHO reports dangerous levels in cough syrup produced by a drug company in Lahore. Poor-quality syrup was also found in different nations, such as Maldives and Fiji.
Pakistan’s Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) mentioned it shut down the part of the company making the syrup last month.

It’s important to mention that just last month, the Maldivian government and WHO alerted people about the Lahore company’s cough syrup.
The Lahore company’s cough medicine has been discovered to have dangerous substances known as diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol.
