Less than two weeks are left until Ramadan starts all around the world, and people are already getting ready for the holy month at home.
When will be the first fast in Pakistan?
Weather analyst Jawad Memon says that even though the Ramadan moon will appear on March 10, it won’t be visible then. But on March 11, it will be clearly seen.
Jawad Memon also says that the first Taraweeh prayers will happen on the night of March 11 because there’s a 95% chance that the first day of fasting will be on Tuesday, March 12.
Just like every year, the Central Royat-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Islamabad. They’ll also hold meetings in different areas.
Before, Gulf News said that scientists say the big meeting on March 10 will happen at 9 am. They say the moon will be seen after the sun goes down in most Islamic countries on March 10.

Many scientists think it’s unlikely that the moon will be seen in all Arab and Islamic countries on March 10. Scientists think Ramadan will start on Tuesday, March 12 in Islamic countries.
