Met Office of Pakistan has predicted that there is no chance of rain in Islamabad and the dry and cold conditions will intensify.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi are facing severe cold weather even in mid-December and further, it is said that the temperature is likely to drop in the coming days.
In its latest advisory, Islamabad is likely to fall of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the day and the PDM has predicted cold and dry weather in the capital.
“Considering their assessment, the chances of rains in January are not high.”

Meanwhile, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in the upper regions of the country as the mercury has dipped to negative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
According to PDM, GP, and Gilgit-Baltistan recorded minimum temperatures of -1, -2, and -4 degrees Celsius respectively.
Fog in Punjab
According to the PDM forecast, there is a possibility of smog and fog in some areas of Punjab and Sindh in the early morning and late night along with cold weather.
Further, the Meteorological Department has expressed the fear of an increase in fog in the areas of Punjab.
The department has indicated the possibility of fog especially for Islamabad in the morning.
