China and Russia blocked the US proposed resolution concerning Gaza at the UN Security Council.
Vetoed US Gaza resolution
Russia, China, and the United Arab Emirates objected to the resolution put forth by the United States regarding Gaza during the United Nations Security Council session. Meanwhile, Brazil and Mozambique were not present.
The resolution drafted by Russia received backing from China, Russia, the Emirates, and Gabon, while the United States and the United Kingdom opposed it.
Albania, Ecuador, France, Ghana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, and Switzerland were not in attendance on this occasion. A resolution requires support from at least nine members to be passed.

The American resolution highlighted Israel’s entitlement to self-protection, whereas the Russian proposal urged the Israeli armed forces to withdraw their request to evict Gazans from the north.
