In central Paris, near the iconic Eiffel Tower, a tragic incident unfolded on Saturday resulting in the death of a young German man and injuries to two others in a stabbing attack.
Tragedy in Paris
The assailant, wielding both a knife and a hammer, carried out the assault on Quai de Grenelle around 9:00 PM local time. Swift action led to the arrest of a 26-year-old French suspect, already known to security services, triggering an anti-terrorism investigation.
The victim, accompanied by his wife, faced a harrowing fate, but a vigilant taxi driver’s intervention spared her life. Shouting “Allahu Akbar,” the suspect fled across a Seine River bridge, where he attacked two more individuals.
