Teams face challenges on sandy ground
During the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup in India, concerns were expressed at the stadium in Dharamshala.
The sandy outfield of the Dharamshala Stadium became a source of worry for the coaches and players as players hesitated before diving. It should be noted that the first match between the teams of Bangladesh and Afghanistan was played in Dharamshala yesterday.
During the fielding of the match, the knees and feet of the Afghan players continued to sink into the ground, while Afghanistan’s Mujibur Rehman narrowly escaped with a knee injury. Jonathan Trott, the head coach of Afghanistan, also expressed his concerns about the condition of the ground. Pointed out regarding the injury of Ur Rahman’s left knee.
Jonathan Trott said: “I will not attribute the big margin of defeat against Bangladesh to the condition. We are lucky that Mujeebur Rahman is safe from a serious knee injury. The players are forced to think about whether to dive or not.” OK, I’m not making any accusations but there are some issues that need to be looked into.
On the other hand, the Bangladeshi fielders also faced difficulties due to the outfield. The next match in Dharamsala will be played between Bangladesh and England teams on Tuesday.
It should be noted that some time ago India’s match against Australia was shifted from Dharamsala to Indore due to the outfield itself.Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the third match of the ODI World Cup in India.
