Tariq Jameel Elder son confirms his younger brother suicide
On the night of October 29, Maulana Tariq Jameel’s official account confirmed his son’s demise.

In his social media post, Maulana Tariq Jameel conveyed the tragic news, stating that his son, Asim Jameel, had unexpectedly passed away in Talamba, casting a pall of sorrow over the surroundings.
Maulana Tariq Jameel humbly requested everyone to include us in their prayers during this difficult time, hoping that Allah would grant his son a lofty place in Jannat Firdaus.
Later, the authorities reported that Maulana’s son hadn’t been killed; instead, he took his own life.

The elder brother of the deceased has now affirmed Asim Jameel’s act of self-harm in a video message. He shared, “My brother, Aseem Jameel, had been grappling with severe depression since his childhood.”
Maulana Yusuf Jameel conveyed that Asim Jameel’s condition had progressively worsened over the past six months. They attempted to administer electric shocks to manage his illness, but even this measure proved unsuccessful.

He mentioned that the previous day, he found himself alone at home, unable to endure the pain and agony any longer. Asim retrieved a firearm from the security and ended his own life.
The brother also conveyed in his message that there was no animosity with anyone, and no one had assaulted him. It was his fate, and we accept Allah’s decree.
