This is the last group stage match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Jollahor. The Sri Lankan captain won the toss and decided to bat.

Both the teams have played one match each in which Sri Lanka won while Afghanistan lost to Bangladesh in their first match.
Sri Lanka’s innings started well against Afghanistan, the two openers shared a partnership of 63 runs, but then Karunaratne got out after scoring 32 runs. After that, Nesanka also returned to the pavilion after scoring 41 runs.
Sri Lanka suffered their third loss in the form of Samarawakarma, who could only score 3 runs.
But then Asalanka got out after scoring 36 runs off the ball of Rashid Khan. After that De Silva also left the team after scoring 14 runs, in such a situation Kaushal Mendes played a responsible innings but he was also run out after scoring 92 runs.
