The fast bowler from the Indian cricket team, Mohammad Shami, vehemently responded to the allegations of favoritism directed at ICC and BCCI by former Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza.
Shami Responds to Allegations by Ex-Pakistani Cricketer
A few days prior, during a broadcast on a private TV channel, Hasan Raza remarked, ‘We observe that when the Indian team is batting, they perform exceptionally well, but when they are bowling, the behavior of the ball seems to change. Additionally, DRS decisions also tend to lean in their favor.’
Hasan Raza suggested that the way Siraj and Shami were manipulating the ball, it appeared as though the ICC or BCCI might be providing them with distinct and suspicious balls during the second innings. If necessary, there could even be an extra layer of coating on the ball to facilitate the swing.
Wasim Akram, the Sultan of Swing, responded to Hasan Raza’s statement:
Wasim Akram remarked on this matter during a private television show, dismissing the statement as untrue.
Wasim Akram stated, “All of these notions are absurd. By speaking in this manner, you are creating your own monsters in the world. Please don’t associate them with us.

This is a routine procedure: the team that wins the toss chooses to bowl, then the umpire arrives and the twelfth player comes in. There is a container from which the bowling team picks two balls, and the umpire is joined by other individuals like referees, etc.”
Shame on you! Focus on the game: Shami’s tough response
Indian cricketer Muhammad Shami posted the clip of Hasan Raza’s popular video on his Instagram story and commented, ‘Disappointing behavior, concentrate on the game and avoid unnecessary distractions. Appreciate the achievements of others from time to time. This is an ICC tournament, not a local one. You were a participant, correct?’
Shami continued, ‘Wasim bhai has clarified it, yet you still doubt your fellow player Wasim Akram? You seem more focused on self-praise.’
