Sara Inam murder case verdict reserved
In the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, Judge Nasir Javed Rana oversaw the case of Sara Inam’s murder. Nisar Asghar, the lawyer representing Samina Shah, argued in the final statements that Samina Shah is accused of assisting in the murder, but there is no proof of her involvement.
She was present at the scene and supported the accused, but there is no evidence supporting the claim that she helped in the murder of Sara Inam.
He said the proof about Sara Inam’s murder doesn’t show Samina Shah helped. The police team usually gets fingerprints from crime scenes. The court got the report with fingerprints from the crime scene. Not finished.
Lawyer Nisar Asghar, finishing the last arguments, asked to free Samina Shah from the case.
Prosecutor Rana Hassan Abbas, in his final arguments, stated that lawyer Safai claimed Sara Inam had only one injury, but in reality, she had multiple injuries. The medical report revealed Sara Inam’s death resulted from several fractures and injuries, leading to a cardiac arrest. Sara had various wounds on her head, and Shahnawaz Amir’s DNA matched hers, proving they lived together. No third person’s DNA matched, ruling out other murder suspects.
The prosecutor also mentioned that crime scene photos were taken from Shahnawaz Ameer’s phone. On September 23, Shahnawaz Ameer messaged his parents, expressing his intention to surrender.
During the hearing, Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana called Inam-ur-Rahim, Sara Inam’s father, to the stand.

Inam-ur-Rahim, the dad of the person who passed away, mentioned that he has three kids. Sarah Inam was his favorite child. He wasn’t happy with the marriage of Shahnawaz Amir and Sarah, but they were compelled to go through with it.
Inam-ur-Rahim was deeply upset because they suspected Shahnawaz Amir and Samina Shah intentionally delayed reporting to the police after Sarah must have screamed.
The lawyer representing the plaintiff, Rao Abdul Rahim, presented photos of the crime scene in court. He believes Samina Shah was present. Can action be taken? After the murder, Shahnawaz Amir took photos of Sara Inam.
The lawyer for the person making a complaint said that things like this need to be stopped in society. The rich and powerful should not be allowed to kill.
During the trial, Judge Nasir Javed Rana asked Samina Shah to come forward. Samina Shah, who is accused, said, “I was in another room when Shah Nawaz called me. When I went to the room, Shah Nawaz Amir was not in his right mind. I called Ayaz Amir and told him about the incident. Ayaz Amir said to tie up Shahnawaz Amir and lock him in the room so he wouldn’t escape. Ayaz Amir also asked if the girl was alive. I told him that she had died. Sarah was a very sweet child and she loved me too.”
While talking about the incident in the courtroom, the accused Samina Shah became very emotional.
