The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to increase the basic salaries of government employees by 10 percent in the budget, while the monthly pension has also been proposed to be increased by 10 percent.

The budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 was presented in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The budget meeting started 2 hours and 15 minutes late, the meeting was presided over by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Aftab Alam presented the budget, on this occasion Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur was also present in the House.
Provincial Finance Minister Aftab Alam presented a surplus budget of 100 billion rupees.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Aftab Alam said that the total revenue is 1754 billion rupees while the total expenditure is 1654 billion rupees.

In the budget, it is proposed to increase the minimum monthly wage from 32 thousand to 36 thousand, while it is recommended to allocate 362 billion rupees for education, 232 billion rupees for health and 34 billion rupees for health card.
