Rising Conjunctivitis Cases in Punjab
Educational institutions in Punjab, which had been shut for four days to contain the outbreak following a surge in cases of conjunctivitis, have resumed operations today.
The Chief Minister of Punjab has issued directives to rigorously enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in these schools. As per these guidelines, teachers will examine the eyes of every student upon arrival at the school gate.

Conversely, there has been no significant reduction in conjunctivitis cases in Punjab. Within a span of 24 hours, an additional 9,401 cases were reported. Among these, the highest number, 1,577 cases, were documented in Bahawalpur.
