Republicans have chosen Assemblyman Jim Jordan as their candidate for the vacant post of speaker in the US House of Representatives.
According to British news, Jim Jordan won the vote of the party members over Georgia MP Austin Scott in the vote for the nominations for the position of speaker in the Republican Party.

Jim Jordan won the nomination for Speaker 81-124 over his opponent.
It should be remembered that on October 3, Republicans in the US House of Representatives removed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy from office through a vote of no confidence.
Hard-line Republican members of the House of Representatives were furious with McCarthy for cooperating with Democrats, and a resolution was introduced against him.
The House of Representatives voted 216 to 210 to impeach McCarthy on a resolution against McCarthy.
