The Supreme Judicial Council rejected the complaint against former chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Retired Javed Iqbal.
A session of the Supreme Judicial Council, presided over by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, scrutinized the grievances against Mazahir Naqvi and Justice Retired Javed Iqbal.
Reference against former NAB Chairman
According to sources, the complaint against ex-chairman NAB Justice retired Javed Iqbal was deemed inadmissible and subsequently dismissed.

It is reported that at the time the complaint was lodged, the Supreme Judicial Council was not the designated platform for inquiries. Following amendments to the NAB rules, the Supreme Judicial Council has been designated as the platform for complaints against the Chairman NAB from 2022.
Insiders mentioned that the accusations against Justice Retired Javed Iqbal were lodged back in 2019. Following the revisions in NAB regulations, the Supreme Judicial Council is now empowered to scrutinize the grievances directed at Chairman NAB.
