In the federal budget, an initial proposal of a 15 or 20 percent increase in the salaries of government workers has been given.
Salary Hike for Government Workers:
According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, there is a proposal to increase the monetization policy of the bureaucracy from 40 thousand to 60 thousand rupees and increase the monetization for officers up to grade 20 from 65 thousand rupees to 1 lakh 5 thousand rupees.
A proposal is under consideration to increase the monetization policy from Rs 75 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand for Grade 21 officers and to increase the monetization of Grade 22 officers from Rs 95 thousand to Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand.

A 10% increase in the salaries of government workers of grades 1 to 22 will have an impact of about 80 billion rupees.
Sources said that there is a demand for a 200% increase in medical and conveyance allowance for employees of grades 1 to 16, employees of scale 1 to 16 are getting Rs 1800 conveyance allowance and Rs 1500 medical allowance.

According to the sources, officers of 17th and 18th grade are currently getting 5 thousand rupees conveyance allowance while there is a preliminary proposal of a 200% increase in conveyance allowance for 17th to 18th grade also.
Sources say that it is also proposed to continue the disparity allowance to reduce the difference in salaries of provincial and federal employees. The proposals to increase the salaries and allowances are in the initial stages, the final decision will be taken by the Prime Minister in consultation with the Finance Ministry and the Cabinet.
