PIA Commences Post-Hajj Operation
In a momentous event, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has embarked on its post-Hajj flight operation, skillfully escorting more than 900 devoted pilgrims back to their homeland. Leading the welcoming committee were PIA’s esteemed station manager, Ali Abbas, and Mian Sohail Mahmood, the dedicated station manager for PIA, who warmly received 329 pilgrims that had embarked on their sacred journey with PIA, culminating in their arrival in the vibrant city of Lahore.

Hajj Operation: As part of a collaborative effort to ensure the safe return of approximately 82,000 Pakistani Hujjaj, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Airblue, Serene Air, and Saudi Airlines have united their forces for this noble cause. Their combined commitment and resources will be instrumental in facilitating the secure repatriation of the faithful.
Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony spokesperson revealed an uplifting update, announcing the imminent departure of three flights from Jeddah to Karachi, Faisalabad, and Islamabad. These flights, carrying a total of 693 Hujjaj, mark the beginning of a joyous journey back to their respective destinations, spreading the spirit of fulfillment and devotion across the land.
In an unwavering commitment to the welfare of Hajj pilgrims, the Jeddah-based Hajj flight operation will persist until the 20th of this month. Stepping forward with remarkable dedication, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched its Hajj-return flights operation, scheduled to operate from today until the 2nd of August. Anticipating a triumphant homecoming, PIA’s inaugural return flight, carrying repatriated pilgrims from Saudi Arabia, is set to touch down in Karachi tomorrow.
In light of concerns raised regarding the arrangements made for Hajj pilgrims during their stay in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, Pakistan has proactively reached out to Saudi Arabia. Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Senator Talha Mehmood, conveyed his dissatisfaction with the current arrangements to his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

Reassuring Pakistan of their commitment to justice, the Saudi Minister pledged to conduct a comprehensive inquiry to establish accountability. Stringent action will be taken against the Hajj service providing company responsible for the mismanagement in Mina and Arafat. Furthermore, the minister assured that the grievances of Pakistani pilgrims would be addressed in a prompt and comprehensive manner following a thorough investigation. This transparent approach aims to ensure that justice is served and that the concerns of the pilgrims are duly acknowledged and resolved.
