Chairman Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the vandalism and attacks on important sensitive facilities including Jinnah House and said that there is no room for such incidents in civilized societies.

He said the nation saw those heartbreaking incidents and strongly condemned them. On May 9, statues and memorials of martyrs were vandalized.
Yusuf Raza Gilani said that on May 9, an attempt was made to make people and institutions fight each other. Martyrs are our national heroes; every Pakistani respects and loves them.
He said that the events of May 9 caused irreparable damage to Pakistan and the planners did not deserve any concession. Even today, every Pakistani’s heart is saddened by what happened on May 9.

Chairman Senate said that the martyrs sacrificed for the motherland and the nation salutes them. Political forces should contribute to overcoming the challenges facing Pakistan.
