Pakistani Students Took Top Positions in Huawei ICT Competition Held in China. During the Huawei Information Communication Technology (ICT) Competition 2022-2023 Global Final held at Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen, China, students from Pakistan showcased their exceptional skills and secured notable achievements. Pakistan’s representation in the competition resulted in their teams claiming the second and third prizes in the Network Track, as well as the third prize in the Innovation Track.
Before the final event, a staggering number of over 120,000 students from more than 2,000 universities across 74 countries and regions participated in the ICT Competition, as stated by Huawei.

The second prize in the Network Track was awarded to a team comprising Muhammad Faeez, Asad Anwer, and Faheem Yar Khuhawar from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, alongside Maryam Fareed from Lahore College for Women University. Furthermore, the third prize in the same category was secured by a team consisting of Fatima Shafique from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Eman Yaqoob from Lahore College for Women University, Umar Raza from FAST-nu Islamabad, and Muhammad Zubair from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. These Pakistani teams showcased their exceptional abilities among other competing teams from around the world.
Additionally, in the Innovation Track, Pakistan’s Team Glam, comprising Hasan Ali Khattak, Moaaz Tameer, and Sidra Farooqui, and Team Quran Ustads, comprising Minhal Zafar, Hyder Ali, Muhammad Shaheer, and Noor-ul-ain from FAST – National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad, secured the third prize. Their innovative solutions impressed the judges, positioning them among the top teams globally in the competition.
