Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its candidates for the National and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies seats from Peshawar and said that it will not give the ticket to Sher Afzal Marwat from Peshawar.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fielded Shandana Gulzar from constituency NA-30. Arbab Sher Ali, Asif Khan, Sajid Nawaz, and Arbab Amir will be PTI candidates from different constituencies of Peshawar.

On 27 December 2023, PTI leader Taimur Khan Jhagra raised objections to contesting the election from Peshawar after Marwat submitted his nomination papers for constituency NA-32 in Peshawar from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Taimur Khan Jhagra had said, “It would be better if a leader of Peshawar contests the election from this constituency.”
On the contrary, Sher Afzal Marwat had said that he had no interest in contesting the election. He said that the founder of PTI had instructed me to contest the election from Lucky Marwat.

He said in a tweet that he had been given a ticket from NA-41 Lucky Marwat, which is his native constituency. And he will win this seat for his party.
In Peshawar, the party has announced that Mehmood Jan, Taimur Jhagra, Kamran Bangash, Arbab Jehandad, Fazal Elahi, Hamidul Haq, Asim Khan, Mina Khan, Ali Zaman, Malik Shahab, Samiullah, Sher Ali Afridi, and Noreen Arif will be the recipients of PTI tickets for provincial seats, according to the flip side.
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on January 10 restored PTI’s election symbol ‘bat’, paving the way for the party to contest the February 8 polls with its prominent symbol.
