The Pakistan Stock Exchange 100 index reached an unprecedented 54,000 for the first time in its history. It marked a new peak at 54,312, but concluded the trading day with a dip of 124 points, settling at 53,735.
This brought an end to the six-day streak of positive performance on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, as the seventh day saw a reversal.

Today in the market, transactions involving 50 crore 60 lakh shares were finalized, amounting to 18 billion 25 crore rupees.
The market capitalization has contracted by 21 billion rupees, now standing at 7 thousand 748 billion rupees.
