Pakistan accumulated a total of 282 runs, losing 7 wickets in their allocated 50 overs. Babar Azam made 74 runs, while Abdullah Shafiq contributed 58 runs.
A modification occurred in the Pakistan squad during the game versus Afghanistan. Muhammad Nawaz has been excluded from the squad due to illness. Shadab Khan has taken his spot.
Regarding the standings in the World Cup, Pakistan presently holds the fifth spot, while Afghanistan sits at the 10th position.

The Green Shirts made a strong start against Afghanistan. Openers Abdullah Shafiq and Imam-ul-Haq forged a partnership that yielded over 50 runs. However, Pakistan suffered their initial setback at a total score of 56 when Imam was dismissed for 17 by Azmatullah Umarzai.
Following the loss of one wicket, a partnership of 54 runs was forged between Babar and Abdullah Shafiq. However, Abdullah was sent back to the pavilion after amassing 58 runs.
Additionally, Muhammad Rizwan fell victim to Noor Ahmed after scoring 8 runs, while Saud Shakeel was dismissed after accumulating 25 runs. Captain Babar Azam also completed his half-century, but he too returned to the pavilion after scoring 74 runs off 92 balls.
During the closing stages, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan displayed a commendable approach at the crease. Iftikhar achieved a total of 40 runs from 27 deliveries, while Shadab matched it with 40 runs from 38 balls. Shaheen Afridi concluded with an undefeated 3 runs.
Consequently, Pakistan amassed a total of 282 runs, with the loss of 7 wickets over the span of 50 overs.
On behalf of Afghanistan, the emerging spinner Noor Ahmed secured 3 wickets, while the swift bowler Naveen ul Haq claimed 2 wickets. Additionally, Muhammad Nabi and Azmatullah each earned one wicket.
