Pakistan has received its first shipment of Russian LPG liquefied petroleum gas. The Russian Embassy in Islamabad said it had made a second major Russian energy purchase on Tuesday.
The embassy said that the consignment was delivered with Iranian help. This comes after the first shipment of Russian crude oil was received under an agreement between the two countries this year.

A post on Shul Media by the Embassy of Moscow said that Russia delivered 100,000 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas to Pakistan through Iran’s Sarkhs Special Economic Zone.

Apart from this, the consultation on the said second batch is going on and it is not yet clear how much the price of LPG is and how much the discount will be.
Pakistan said the price of Russian crude was paid in Chinese currency, but the value of the deal has not yet been disclosed.
Pakistan’s energy imports are largely made up of external payments and subsidized imports from Russia offer a respite as Pakistan faces an economic crisis with a severe balance of payments problem, which also threatens to default on its external debt.
