Pakistan Edges Out USA by One Wicket-In the Wor40 Global Cricket Cup, Pakistan Veterans defeated USA Veterans by one wicket after an interesting contest.
A brilliant last-minute batting by Panwash Abbas saved Pakistan from a possible defeat, Pakistan achieved the target of 251 runs for 9 wickets in the 41st over.
Eighth-ranked Panchwal Abbas scored a brilliant half-century, scoring 87 off 63 balls, besides Pakistan’s Misbah-ul-Haq scoring 64 and Tariq Haroon scoring 43.
Saqib Hanif and Nisar Khan took 3 wickets and 3 wickets for USA.Earlier, USA Veterans won the toss against Pakistan and decided to bat first and were dismissed after scoring 250 runs in 44.3 overs.
Mohammad Farrukh scored 82 runs, Nisar Khan scored 39 runs, Anwar Ahmed scored 32 runs and Vinod Shankar scored 31 runs on behalf of USA Veterans.
On behalf of Pakistan Veterans, Haris Ayaz took 4 wickets, Mohammad Sami, Hasan Raza, Imran Ali, Kashif Siddiqui and Abdul Qadir took one wicket each.
It should be noted that more than 40-year-old players are participating in the Global Cup. Teams from 8 countries including Pakistan are participating in the event.
