In a similar fashion, India emerged victorious in their semi-final clash against Korea, triumphing with a score of 9-1. This achievement marks Pakistan’s third consecutive appearance and seventh overall qualification for the tournament finals. Notably, Abdul Rahman of Pakistan delivered an exceptional performance, netting three goals and earning the prestigious player of the match accolade.
Initially, Malaysia took the lead courtesy of a goal by Parabo Tangaraja in the 21st minute.
However, in the 42nd minute, Muhammad Safyan from Pakistan managed to equalize the match. Shortly after, in the 44th minute, Abdul Rahman scored a goal for Pakistan, but Malaysia swiftly responded with an equalizer.
Pakistan regained the lead in the 47th minute with a remarkable field goal by Abdul Hannan Shahid, followed by two consecutive goals by Abdul Rehman in the 48th and 51st minutes. Arbaaz Ahmed secured the triumph with a goal in the 58th minute, resulting in a final score of six in favor of Pakistan.
Both India and Pakistan have maintained an unbeaten record throughout the tournament. In the 2015 final, held in Malaysia, India emerged victorious against Pakistan with a score of 6-2.
