The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially started the latest Umrah period for individuals who are citizens or residents of nations within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes Saudi Arabia, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

GCC Citizens
GCC citizens and residents can now utilize the ‘Nusuk’ or ‘Tawakkalna’ applications to request an Umrah permit subsequent to the triumphant culmination of the current Hajj season, as stated in the declaration.
The Nusuk application aims to streamline the process of obtaining permits for Umrah and accessing the Holy Rawdah in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Meanwhile, the Tawakkalna application verifies the health qualifications of the users.
New Umrah Season Begins for GCC Citizens
Furthermore, it has been announced by the ministry that individuals from non-GCC regions are now permitted to undertake Umrah following the commencement of the upcoming Islamic year. The anticipated start date for the new Islamic year is either Tuesday or Wednesday.

To make it easier for Muslims around the globe desiring to undertake Umrah, Saudi Arabia has implemented digital visas. These e-visas can be obtained through the Nusuk platform, which acts as a comprehensive hub for all aspects of visiting Makkah and Madinah. It offers accommodation, transportation, and information services in various languages.
The SPA has informed that the first arrivals using these e-visas are anticipated on July 19th.
