New Leadership at PIA
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has gained the federal government’s endorsement for the appointment of its CEO. The government has approved the nomination of Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Muhammad Amir Hayat as the CEO of PIA.
New Leadership at PIA-The proposal was put forward for authorization by the federal cabinet.
For around 1.5 years, the position of PIA’s CEO remained vacant. The prime minister turned down the three-year tenure for the PIA CEO.

The government has opted to initially designate the PIA CEO for a one-year term. Subsequent to this period, the CEO’s performance will be assessed in the context of the privatization.
Formerly, AVM Amir Hayat held the role of PIA’s acting CEO.
