The Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Team, Inzamam-ul-Haq has announced the World Cup 2023 squad of Pakistan Cricket Team while doing press on Friday.
Inzamam-ul-Haq talking about Muhammad Amir said, “Everyone knows Aamir is a very good cricketer, he has retired, but if he wants to play for Pakistan, the doors are open for everyone.”

In which he said he also asked the players whether they wanted to join the team or not. He said that the selection committee and PCB did not close the doors of cricket for any player.
He further said in the press that if a player wants to represent Pakistan, he should first perform in first-class cricket. Even if Muhammad Aamir is not.

The Chief Selector announced the World Cup 2023 squad while holding a press conference in Lahore. Fans on social media speculated that many PCB members had changed so they could represent Amir in the team, but he was not included in the squad.
