FIA Captures Notorious Human Smuggler
On Sunday, the Federal Investigation Agency apprehended a highly sought-after human smuggler in Faisalabad as part of a nationwide crackdown prompted by the Greece boat tragedy.
The arrest was carried out by the composite circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Faisalabad. The individual apprehended, known as Tahir Nadeem, had accumulated over 30 filed cases against him and was also under investigation in three separate inquiries.
Nadeem was named as a suspect in 14 complaints within the Faisalabad circle of the Agency. Additionally, he was also implicated in 16 cases registered at various police stations throughout the city.
He stands accused of deceiving numerous individuals throughout the city by collecting large sums of money with false promises of overseas employment opportunities in Europe, Canada, and Japan. Additionally, he has been implicated in cases of forgery and fraud.
During the operation, authorities seized 25 Pakistani passports and a significant number of counterfeit bank stamps from Nadeem. Moreover, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) discovered a substantial quantity of fraudulent visas, cheque books, and stamp papers in his possession.

Prior to the raid, Nadeem had been declared a proclaimed offender in six cases, with challans already submitted in court. Following the operation, an additional case has been registered against him.
Authorities suspect that the smuggler did not operate alone and are conducting raids to apprehend his accomplices.
