KIA, the renowned South Korean automobile manufacturer, reestablished its presence in Pakistan in 2018 after an absence of approximately nine years. The company forged a partnership with the Lucky Cement group to mark its comeback in the country.

Both companies entered into a strategic agreement in accordance with the Automotive Development Policy 2016-2021. Subsequently, Kia introduced four vehicles in the market, consisting of three passenger cars and one commercial vehicle.

Kia Picanto
The KIA is a compact hatchback with a 5-door configuration. It is equipped with a 1.0-liter MPI (998cc) engine and offers both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options. The car delivers a maximum power output of 69PS at 6,200 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.6kg*m at 3,500 rpm.
The KIA achieves a fuel efficiency of 12-15 kilometers per liter, which is comparatively lower than its competitors, namely the Suzuki Wagon-R and Suzuki Cultus, which possess the same engine capacity.

Similar to other automobile manufacturers, KIA has also increased the prices of its vehicle variants in response to import restrictions imposed by the government, prompted by a shortage of dollars.
Latest Prices of KIA Picanto in Pakistan
The KIA 2023 manual variant is priced at Rs3,350,000 in Pakistan, while the automatic version is priced at Rs3,625,000. These prices are exclusive of any additional charges and apply to the ex-factory model of the KIA Picanto in Pakistan.
