Lakhs kept in bank locker were eaten by termites-A strange incident happened in India. Millions of rupees kept in the bank locker were eaten by termites. This incident took place in Moradabad, a state of Uttar Pradesh, India, where a woman, Alka Pathak, kept Rs 18 lakh in a bank locker along with some jewelery for her daughter’s marriage in October 2022.
According to media reports, Alka runs a small business and also gives tutoring classes to students who kept her savings in a bank locker in the form of money and jewelery for her daughter’s wedding.
Alka came to know about the incident when she received a call from the bank regarding the annual locker maintenance and other necessary verifications.
The woman noticed that many of her notes were attacked by termites and many of the notes were eaten by termites. Seeing this situation, the woman immediately informed the bank management and expressed concern about the presence of termites in the locker. And asked to take action.
