The Business community of Lahore announced a massive shutter down strike against high electricity bills across the country on September 2. President of Anjuman Tajran, Mujahid Maqsood Butt issued a statement today saying that all business markets of Lahore city will remain closed on Saturday.

This reaction has come to the fore due to exorbitantly expensive electricity and very high bills. Due to the increase in electricity bills, the people of Pakistan as well as the business community are very worried. Poor people are facing more problems due to expensive electricity.
Strike Against High Electricity Bills
President Mujahid Maqsood Butt said that businesses have been destroyed due to electricity bills due to which financial difficulties have increased. Due to inflation and now electricity, people have been deprived of even two meals a day. He said that Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar should withdraw the increase in electricity rates and make electricity cheaper. The businessmen of Karachi also took out a rally in solidarity and announced a shutter down strike on September 1 as well, asking that their concerns be addressed.

From Karachi to Khyber, the protests have intensified, which may lead to violence and civil disobedience. The demand of all the people of Pakistan is that the government should end free electricity to the privileged people and tax the elite to give relief to the people. People say that their income is not as much as the bill has come due to which they are very worried.
