A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday said that at least 11 terrorists were killed in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan.

According to the statement, the media wing of the army said that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on DI Khan’s hideouts on information about the presence of terrorists.
ISPR said that 10 terrorists were successfully neutralized and taken to hell after intense exchange of fire during the operation.
It was added that the slain terrorists were active in several terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians in the area.
“Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from them,” he added.
In a separate operation, security forces shot dead a terrorist in North Waziristan, ISPR added.
The local people of the area appreciated the actions of the security forces, who are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
Last week, security forces killed seven terrorists trying to infiltrate from the Pak-Afghan border in the general area of Spinkai area of Ghulam Khan district of North Waziristan.
ISPR said that the movement of a group of seven terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate from Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was traced by security forces in Spinkai area of Ghulam Khan district of North Waziristan.
It said the infiltrators were cornered, effectively engaged and after a fierce exchange of fire, all seven terrorists were “sent to hell”. Huge quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives have also been recovered from the dead terrorists.
ISPR had said that Pakistan has been continuously asking the Afghan government to ensure effective border management towards the border.
The interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its obligations and prevent the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetrating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
“The security forces of Pakistan are committed to securing its borders and eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR had said.

As the KP continues to battle the scourge of terrorism, the province’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Akhtar Hayat Khan on April 11 said that as many as 88 terrorists have been neutralised in various anti-terror operations since January 1, 2024.
