In its latest update, PMD stated that substantial precipitation could also happen at isolated locations in Islamabad on Thursday.
Monday saw Islamabad’s temperature prognosis ranging from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. Over the metropolis, the sky was overcast.
The highest UV Index registered was 3, indicating moderate levels. Wind speed reached approximately 10 kilometers per hour, and the visibility stood at 6 kilometers.
The air quality in the national capital was measured at 20, indicating a favorable level. The atmospheric conditions are suitable for the majority of people; go ahead and relish your usual outdoor pursuits.
Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal’s monsoon currents are making their way into the higher regions of the nation. An occidental wave has commenced influencing the upper and central sectors.
The earlier forecasts from the Met Office had indicated that multiple regions within Pakistan are set to experience increased monsoon precipitation along with intermittent breaks until the 27th of August.

Monsoon Alert in Islamabad
As per the PMD, there is a possibility of moderate to substantial rainfall that could potentially lead to urban flooding in the lower-lying zones of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Lahore spanning from the 23rd to the 26th of August.
Additionally, these rains could instigate landslides in susceptible areas such as Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, as well as the hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this damp period.
The PMD went on to elaborate that there’s an anticipation of rain or wind-thundershowers, occasionally marked by a few instances of moderate to heavy downpours, in locations like Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, and Sheikhupura from the 23rd of August until the 27th of August.
