ISLAMABAD: The city’s district administration has declared a two-day closure for schools, colleges, and offices on July 31 and August 1 (Monday and Tuesday).

Islamabad Schools and Colleges Shut for 2 Days-In an official statement, District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon announced the shutdown of all public and private educational institutions.
Additionally, all private companies, enterprises, markets/shops, and commercial banks will be closed during this period, as stated in the notification.
The decision comes in light of the upcoming visit of He Lifeng, Vice Premier of China and Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, to Pakistan from July 30 to August 1.

During his visit, Vice Premier Lifeng, who also serves as a Special Envoy of President Xi Jinping, will participate in the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and hold meetings with the president and the prime minister.
