News came out that the seating was changed after Jahangir Tareen talked to Shehbaz Sharif.
To make things clear, the president of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, firmly denied rumors on Saturday. These rumors suggested that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had formed a political alliance through a deal with Jahangir Tareen’s party.
Earlier, there were reports that PML-N had arranged a seat adjustment deal with IPP for the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8, 2024. These reports surfaced after PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif met with IPP’s chief, Tarin, on Thursday at Shehbaz’s residence in Lahore.

Aleem, in a recent interview, mentioned that Shehbaz had initially visited the ailing Tareen for health inquiries. Later, the leader of IPP met with the PML-N president. However, Aleem clarified that the discussion did not involve the topic of “seat adjustment.”
Describing these meetings as “goodwill meetings,” Aleem emphasized that they were not focused on any particular agenda. He explained that approval from the party’s 30-member central executive committee is necessary for agenda-based meetings.
As political parties gear up for the upcoming polls, PML-N is striving to secure a position of power. In the previous month, the party successfully convinced over 30 influential political figures from Balochistan to join its ranks before the elections.
Additionally, an agreement was reached with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan to jointly participate in the February 8 elections.
