With the generous backing of the National Association of the Blind (Kafeef) in Riyadh, a group of forty-two individuals who are blind had the opportunity to accomplish the Hajj pilgrimage this year. Supported by their assistants, these individuals with visual impairments successfully fulfilled all the Hajj rituals, such as the stoning of the Jamarat and the Tawaf Al Widaa (Farewell Circumambulation).

The Manasik program by the National Association of the Blind strives to enhance accessibility and comfort for individuals with visual impairment during the sacred journey through the provision of inclusive services.
Abdul Aziz Al Mubarak, the Administrative and Financial Affairs Director at Kafeef, commended the initiatives of Saudi Arabia’s leadership and authorities in orchestrating a triumphant Hajj this year. He highlighted the significance of facilitating the involvement of individuals with visual impairments in such profound spiritual journeys.

In order to provide tailored support, the 42 recipients and their accompanying individuals were categorized into three factions throughout the pilgrimage. The Hajj pilgrimage occurred between June 26 and July 7.
