In the T20 World Cup final match, India won the title for the second time by defeating South Africa by 7 runs after an interesting match.
India Became T20 World Cup Champions:
In the match played in Bridgetown, Barbados, India gave South Africa a target of 177 runs to win, which they failed to achieve and managed to score 169 runs in the allotted overs.
At one point, the Proteas needed 30 runs from 30 balls to win, but the South African team again fell short.
Chasing the target, South Africa’s first two wickets fell for 12 runs, with Reza Hendricks and captain Aiden Markram returning to the pavilion with 4 and 4 respectively. Hendricks was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah and Aiden Markram.

A partnership of 58 runs was formed between Turton Stubbs and Quinton de Kock for the third wicket. Stubbs returned to the pavilion scoring 31 runs off 21 balls. He was dismissed by Akshar Patel.
South Africa suffered their fourth loss in the form of Quinton de Kock. Cook was caught out trying to hit Arsdeep Singh for a six. He scored 39 runs.
After that, Henrik Klaasen and David Miller made the match interesting by batting at lightning speed on the fifth wicket. However, Hardik Pandya, who scored 52 runs off 27 balls for 151, caught the keeper.
Jasprit Bumrah then played a brilliant bowling performance to shatter South Africa’s dream of victory, conceding just 5 runs in his final two overs to bring India back into the match.

South Africa needed 17 runs to win in the last over, but the team could not cross the finishing lines.
Earlier in the final match, India won the toss and decided to bat first against South Africa.
On behalf of the Indian team, the experienced pair of Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma made an aggressive start and scored 23 runs in the first two overs, but the wickets of Rohit Sharma and the in-form Rishabh Pant fell one after the other.
Rohit Sharma 9 while Rishabh Pant was out for no runs. Both were dismissed by Keshav Maharaj. Number one T20 batsman Surya Kumar Yadav was bowled by Kagiso Rabada for a total of 34. Suryakumar scored 3 runs.

This was followed by a partnership of 72 runs from 54 balls between star batsmen Virat Kohli and Akshar Patel which ensured India’s progress towards a fighting total.
Akshar Patel was run out after scoring 47 runs for a total of 106. He hit 4 sixes and a four in his innings.
He completed his half-century with Duran in a fifth-wicket partnership with Shivam Dube. Virat Kohli was dismissed after playing an innings of 76 runs in the 19th over.
South Africa’s Enrich Nokia and Keshu Maharaj took 2 wickets each.
Talking after the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that he will try to score well against South Africa.

He said that South Africa played well in the tournament and will play well against them.
