India-Pakistan Series
Indian Sports Minister Anurag Thakur says that the series between Pakistan and India is not possible until the border issues are resolved.
Bilateral cricket relations between India and Pakistan have been suspended for years due to diplomatic tensions between the two neighbors and the two teams only play matches in the ICC and Asian Cup.
The former BCCI chief said in a recent interview to the Indian media that ‘BCCI had long ago decided that bilateral matches with Pakistan would not take place until the border relations were restored. They don’t go well’.
Anurag Thakur said ‘I think this is the sentiment of every common citizen of this country’.
India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs in the Asia Cup match, after which Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the event, after which it is clear to compete with the national Asian team.
