This marks the third endeavor initiated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), following the lack of success in the preceding two missions.
Approximately 16 minutes after liftoff, the mission control of ISRO declared that the Chandrayaan-3 lander had achieved a triumphant placement into an Earth orbit, setting its course towards a forthcoming moon landing in the following month.
The scheduled arrival is anticipated to occur on August 23-24, the chosen date considering the accessibility of sunlight on the moon. The lunar landing will be performed by a rover named Praygan, specifically targeting the moon’s south pole.
Third Mission to Moon
The main aim of Chandrayaan-3 is to demonstrate the capability of the Indian space organization to achieve a gentle touchdown on the lunar surface. Moreover, it will transport numerous significant payloads that will facilitate the collection of vital information regarding the surface of the moon.
