In Karachi, the first day of the new trading week witnessed a decline in prices of gold as the Pakistan rupee gained some strength against the US dollar. As per the data provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of one tola of gold fell by Rs1,700 to reach Rs225,500, while the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold saw a decrease of Rs1,500, settling at Rs193,330.

Gold Price Drops by Rs1,700 per Tola
This shift in gold prices indicates the impact of currency fluctuations on the precious metal’s value in the local market.
In the international market, the price of the precious commodity experienced an increase of $2, reaching $1,963 per ounce. However, the price of silver remained steady at Rs2,600 per tola and Rs2,229.08 per 10 grams.
