Fuel Price increases in Pakistan
Petrol has been increased by Rs17.50 per liter, and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs20 per liter.
“The global petroleum market has witnessed a surge in prices over the past two weeks. Consequently, the consumer costs in Pakistan are being adjusted, as stated by the Finance Division on the evening of Tuesday.”
Another blow arrives for individuals concerned about inflation, as they bear the impact of elevated food costs due to the direct influence of fuel prices on transportation and agriculture. Any sudden rise will worsen the load on the public.
By mid-August, the present cost of petrol remained at Rs272.95, whereas the price of high-speed diesel was Rs273.40.
