Faisalabad Crackdown to Curb Sale
Faisalabad: Civil Defense dismantled 240 mini petrol pumps in a crackdown to stop the sale of smuggled petrol in the city.
Like the rest of the country, the crackdown on the mafia involved in the sale of smuggled petrol is ongoing in Faisalabad, where the Civil Defense has claimed to have eliminated the illegal sale of petrol by 95% during the crackdown.
Civil defense officials say the business of selling smuggled petrol has been eradicated by up to 95 per cent from the city, with 240 machines seized and 42 filling stations that used cans also confiscated. That 85 shops have been sealed.
The district administration says that 350 illegal petrol selling points have been eliminated, but the crackdown will continue until the work is completely stopped.

Citizens have said that the administration has taken too long to stop this illegal activity but now it should be brought to a logical end.
