The electric price increase has been done through quarterly adjustments, which will be charged in June, July, and August bills.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to increase electricity prices. The increase in electric prices will result in an additional burden of 46 billion rupees on the consumers.
Sources say that Nepra sent the decision to increase electricity prices to the federal government.

Nepra had on May 30 reserved its decision on the CPPA’s request to increase the price of electricity by Rs 3.49 paise per unit, after the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) requested an increase in the April fuel adjustment.
