The Peshawar High Court has issued a restraining order against the Election Commission’s move to nullify the intra-party elections of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and revoke the party symbol.
Electoral symbol returned to PTI
Following the conclusion of arguments, the court has suspended the Election Commission’s decision pending the resolution of the case.
The court has said that the case should be heard in a double bench first after the holidays are over.
In the petition filed by Tehreek-e-Insaf in the Peshawar High Court, the petitioners challenging the Election Commission and intra-party elections were also made parties, while the decision of the Election Commission was requested to be annulled.

On the request of Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Justice Kamran Hayat Mian Khel heard, PTI’s lawyers Ali Zafar, Babar Awan and Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar himself gave arguments.
