The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given an indication to abolish Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) as a party.

In its post, the ECP has raised serious questions about the recent intra-party elections of the PTI.
According to the information, if the intra-party elections of Tehreek-e-Insaf have not been held for 5 years, how are the various organizations of the party working? Taking this matter into consideration, it has been proposed to dissolve PTI as a party.

It may be noted that during the recent hearing of the PTI intra-party election case, the Election Commission had directed Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Khan to submit a reply to the objections in the elections.
In this regard, Barrister Gohar said in his statement that there are 175 political parties in Pakistan, no political party has conducted intra-party elections as per the constitution. PTI had conducted the intra-party elections in light of the orders of the Election Commission and the Supreme Court.
