Eid ul Adha in Pakistan
Today (Monday), the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to convene for the purpose of sighting the Zil Hajj moon. In an official statement, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that the committee would be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. The meeting will witness the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, SUPARCO, Department of Meteorology, and Ministry of Science and Technology. Additionally, zonal committee meetings of Ruet-e-Hilal will be conducted in their respective cities.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to Sight Zil Hajj Moon Today
If the moon is spotted today, the initial day of Zil Hajj will fall on June 20 (Tuesday), and Eid ul Adha will be joyously celebrated on June 29 (Thursday).
As per the earlier statement by the Met Office, the birth of the moon was anticipated on June 18 at 9:37 PM, with possible sighting on June 19.

On the 29th day of each Islamic month, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee assembles and proclaims the official announcement subsequent to sighting the moon.
The crescent moon marking the commencement of Zil Hajj was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, and today (June 19) is the observed first day of the month.
The day of Arafah, the holiest day in Islam, will occur on Tuesday (June 27), while the initial day of Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday (June 28) in the kingdom.
