On Monday, the working class in Lahore came together to observe a day of mourning, organized by the All Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions (APFTU), in remembrance of the tragic boat capsize incident near Greece that claimed the lives of fellow Pakistanis.

Federation General Secretary, Khurshid Ahmad, passionately urged Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif to take swift action against the human traffickers accountable for this devastating incident. He emphatically demanded that the prime minister not only ensure justice but also provide substantial financial support to the grieving families.

Additionally, he appealed for the development of industries and trade, accompanied by increased employment opportunities, as crucial measures to safeguard the nation from such harrowing tragedies in the future.
