The capital of India, New Delhi, has experienced the most severe air pollution, leading to the closure of schools for an additional week.
As per reports from Indian media, the air condition in New Delhi has worsened to a hazardous degree.
Delhi Schools closed for another week
This heightened air pollution has compelled the authorities to shut down schools in the city for an extra week. The Education Minister of New Delhi stated that primary schools will stay shut until November 10, while classes 6 to 12 will be conducted online. The option to attend online classes is available.
Based on media accounts, the live Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 500 in different sections of New Delhi, whereas the air quality status in New Delhi was documented at 859 at midday.
On the contrary, the most severe air contamination in New Delhi during the ICC Cricket World Cup also led to issues for the teams.

The contest between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh squads is set to take place in Delhi on November 6, and prior to that, the ICC has initiated an assessment of the air quality in Delhi. Considering the input from the specialists in this matter, they will ensure the well-being of the players.
As per reports from Indian media, there is also a scheme in place to spread water in the vicinity of the stadium in New Delhi.
