The Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, acting as Caretaker, granted approval for the establishment of a cancer hospital in Lahore, the provincial capital.
CM Approved the Construction of Lahore Cancer Hospital
Naqvi conducted a visit to Manawan Hospital, where he examined the designated site for the cancer hospital as well as the existing hospital structure. He endorsed the design for the cancer hospital and issued directives to expedite proceedings.
As reported by “Jang,” a meeting took place in the committee room of Manawa Hospital, presided over by the caretaker Chief minister. During the meeting, he assigned the task of transforming Manawa Hospital into a specialized cancer facility.

He emphasized that in a province with a population of 14 crore, there isn’t a single contemporary government hospital dedicated to cancer care. Mohsin Naqvi instructed that plan be formulated for the acquisition of machinery and equipment required for the hospital.
