In the game held at the Himachal Pradesh Stadium in Dharamshala, Australia took the first turn to bat and established a substantial target of 389 runs for New Zealand to chase.
In retaliation, the New Zealand side exhibited commendable resilience, yet they couldn’t sway the match in their favor. The Kiwi team managed to accumulate 383 runs while losing 9 wickets.
Prior to this, New Zealand won the toss and elected to field. Subsequently, the entire Australian squad was dismissed for a total of 388 runs in 49.2 overs.
Travis Head led the scoring for the Kangaroos, amassing 109 runs. Following him were David Warner with 81, Mitchell Marsh with 36, Steven Smith and Marnos Labushin with 18 apiece, and Glenn Maxwell with 41.
Josh Ingles posted a total of 38 runs, while captain Pat Cummins secured 37. Mitchell Starc contributed one, while Adam Zampa’s innings ended with a score of zero.
